This is a jewelry chest that I made for my daughter’s bday. it’s made of figured cherry and curly maple. The drawers, top compartment, and necklace storage are all lined with soft creamy leather (my wife’s awesome idea). Since this is meant to be an heirloom piece that should last generations, I’ve made it fairly painless to repair the various parts that may someday need it (that’s how you ensure your work doesn’t get trashed in 40 years because something broke and was too hard/costly to fix).

Materials: figured cherry, curly maple, leather
Finish: clear coat
