Candle Care and Safety

  • Always trim wick to 1/8" for every burn and do not burn longer than stated times for each style we offer. Use wick trimmers, nail clippers, or pinch off the charred wood wick. Dispose of the charred wood.
  • Always burn candle on a heat-resistant surface, within sight. Don't touch candle while hot. 
  • Keep away from drafts, things that can catch fire, children and pets. 
  • 12 oz glass vessels should be burned 4 hours at a time.
  • 6 oz tin vessels should be burned 3 hours at a time.
  • Stop burning candle when 1/2" of wax remains.
  • Wood wicks are a natural material - no two are exactly the same. This may cause variations in burn-time and how they burn.

From YouTube to TikTok and Instagram, Refashioned Hippie has amassed a substantial following for good reason. Maggie's brand of humor pokes fun at rich people stuff, fashion trends, consumerism, and the inability for certain body parts to fit into some of today's "vogue" garments. Maggie's a big supporter of small businesses and has featured Holzer Handcrafted in her videos... which we greatly appreciate!

We asked Maggie to collaborate on a fun line of Refashioned Hippie-themed candles and she obliged. We're so excited to offer these. Maggie seems pretty darn excited too!

We always say that our candles are a sensory experience... a beautiful glow (sight), a gentle crackle (sound), a luxurious scent (smell). Now there's a touch of humor and a taste of Maggie... errr... a taste of humor and a touch of... ugh... a touch of Maggie's tasteful humor. Wood sourced from FSC-certified mills in the USA for sustainability. Eco-friendly and clean burning.

Proprietary blend of USA-sourced premium coconut and soy waxes.

The Luxury Fragrances We Use
Fragrance has long been a mysterious and mostly unregulated ingredient, and it is found in most every beauty, body care and household item we own. That is why we only use luxury fragrance oils (and ingredients) that are vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, toxin-free, mutagen-free, gluten-free, allergen-free, carcinogen-free and paraben-free.

Notice: For best and safest results, burn your candle for 3 hours at a time and keep wick trimmed per our candle care instructions.

The scents aren't the only awesome thing!

Bought one of these since I follow RefashionedHippie. Got my candle and read the instructions, but didn't quite understand. I used it how I normally use candles, ignorant that these are not your average big box store candles. I reached out to Holzer for info and what I thought would be a fix for my misuse. During the correspondence, I got clarification and Rob went above and beyond to help resolve the issue. These are the small businesses that we ALL need to support. I will buy all my candles from Holzer Handcrafted going forward!
